Exit Multiple Method (EV / EBITDA)
The other way to set the terminal value: assume you sell the business in the final year at a multiple of its earnings that year.
Usually a multiple of EBITDA, taken from comparable companies or deals. Every exit multiple implies a growth rate, and every growth rate implies a multiple. If the two methods disagree sharply, one of the assumptions is wrong.
